Half a life done
I have been 50 for a week now. Fifty. 5-0. I never really thought about being 50, until I turned 49. Then I thought about it a lot. My kids say I don't look 50. But really, what does 50 look like? Or, what's it supposed to look like? I'm okay with how I look but I think I'd be okay if I didn't dye my hair, wear make-up or do whatever else I do. Really, I've been thinking about what I've done with my life so far. I told my partner that I felt like my life was passing me by and this was the year to stop allowing that to happen. But then I thought about what I've done so far. It's not a bad list. Ages 1-10: I was a pain in the ass kid. I was difficult. I felt different, which I didn't like.
